Hello there. My name is Oliver. This is my blog. I wish I was a rapper. My blog is mostly filled with West Ham United Football Club, my family of a wife and two cats, and music that I like.

Here are some music videos I quite like and some words about them. It's a gimmick.

Here's some music I've been listening to recently. ollib1304's Profile Page

Well, that was fun. I’ve had a theory brewing about Little Mix’s win on this for a while, and it is this. On The Xtra Factor on November 13th (just after week six, for date fans), highly popular large fanbased X Factor third placers One Direction publically backed Little Mix to win. Now, week six, they secured 15.3% of the vote, an alright kind of amount. Then look at week seven. Week seven they jumped by a full 10.8% to 26.1%, a wave of support that carried them to victory. Is this the One Direction effect? Understandably, there would be a lot of cross over between their relative fans, but a jump of that magnitude is unlikely, even if they did do their only bearable performance of the series that week (‘Don’t Let Go’ by En Vogue). Perhaps, therefore, there is something in that - Little Mix won the closest final in X Factor history, and little things like that and constantly crying in their VTs could have made all the difference.

Maybe what is more interesting is that, unlike last year when Matt Cardle won every week, there wasn’t really a clear winner from an early stage. Devlin may have won a lot of weeks, but week two aside they are all narrow-ish victories, and not really that impressive.

Overall, I though X Factor was terrible this year. Misha B was the only bright spot in a sea of averageness or worse. Might not bother next year, but probably will - I’m a sucker for punishment.
