This is a (quite frankly brilliant) photograph of Girls Aloud that Nicola Roberts posted on twitter.
Is Nadine not there, or is it one of the others? There are definitely only four there, right?

Mid Morning Music Video #240 - ‘Untouchable’ by Girls Aloud
Guys, this is what happens when you give Nicola the brunt of the singing work on a song. YOU GET THE BEST SONG EVER. And given that the Nicola solo album (‘Cinderella’s Eyes’, kids) won’t feature Sarah or Cheryl, it will be 20% better and 100% less racist than this! Imagine that!
(This is the fourth time I have put this song in here. But it is the best. It really is.)
Mid Morning Music Video #197 - ‘Untouchable’ by Girls Aloud [Live]
Still the best thing ever in the history of pop music.

Mid Morning Music Video #87 - ‘Graffiti My Soul’ by Girls Aloud
Probably the best single never released. It was supposed to be released, but the record company knocked the release on the head so that they could work on ‘Chemistry’ instead. Fools (not that ‘Chemistry’ isn’t ace or anything, but this would have just been an amazing song to have released). ‘Graffiti My Soul’ is basically the best non-single Girls Aloud song, all stuttery raps and acoustic flourishes. It probably marks the point where Girls Aloud became more than just a singles band, too (if it had been released as a single, there wouldn’t be a whole lot worth going back to on ‘What Will The Neighbours Say?’, I suppose). So yay for non-single ace things. It also features a sample of Peplab’s ‘It’s Not The Drug’, which is kind of awesome in an unexpected-song-to-sample kind of way.

Mid Morning Music Video #68 - ‘Untouchable’ by Girls Aloud [Live from the Out Of Control DVD]
Can’t believe it’s a year since Rosie, Laura, Ryan and I went to see Girls Aloud in Manchester. This here (a song I’ve already featured on MMMV, and possibly (I’m really not sure) the first repeat of a song) was probably a complete highlight - just watch and listen. ‘Untouchable’ is Girls Aloud’s finest song to date, no questions asked.

Mid Morning Music Video #33 - ‘Untouchable’ by Girls Aloud
You all are aware that this is Girls Aloud’s best song to date, aren’t you? Good. Coming on like some form of chilled mid 90s ravepop (or something, you know, whatever) featuring THAT bridge building into the chorus and THAT middle 8 about robots dancing alone and just generally being a brilliant, brilliant pop song. God I love pop music.
